A Full Working Day: No Range Anxiety with the Knegt Power Strategy
The Fear of Running Out of Power
“Range anxiety” – the fear of running out of battery – is often the biggest hurdle when switching to electric on an equine yard. Daily routines are tightly planned: feeding, mucking out, harrowing, mowing. Knegt addresses this concern with proven Lithium Iron Phosphate (LFP) batteries and a well thought-out power strategy.
Realistic Working Times and Service Life
The 45 and 55 hp electric tractor models achieve around 3 to 6 hours of effective working time per charge, with an average of about 5 hours in real-world use. The latest 65 hp model can operate for up to around 8 hours. With LFP batteries designed for roughly 3,500 charge cycles, this translates to 10 to 15 years of operation, depending on usage patterns.
Modular Batteries for Maximum Uptime
For demanding days – events, large maintenance rounds or intensive stable work – Knegt offers an optional extra battery pack. This pack acts not only as an additional energy source but also as counterweight on the front or rear linkage. That improves stability during heavy front-loader work and extends total working time up to roughly nine hours of continuous operation.
Efficient Fast Charging During Breaks
Interim charging is always possible. With an optional fast charger the battery can be recharged to about 80% in roughly 1.5 to 2.5 hours. In practice this means you can recharge enough during a lunch break or coffee break to keep working for the rest of the day — without disrupting your yard schedule.
Don’t Let Battery Anxiety Hold You Back
With Knegt’s modular battery strategy and fast-charging options, range anxiety is no longer a valid reason not to go electric. Request a demonstration or ask for a TCO analysis based on your operating hours. You’ll see exactly how a full working day can look at your yard or riding school without ever being stopped by an empty battery.
